Title: Column: Search the Inventory of a Thousand Book Sellers
Snippet: It’s that time of year again when I wake up to snow on the ground, eager children checking for school cancellations and the arrival of darkness by suppertime. This is also the month when planning becomes crucial. If you don’t plan the last three weeks of the year, disaster can strike.
My planning for the end of the year includes ordering books. I could pop into our local store and do last minute shopping, but I may not find the publication perfect for beneath the tree. Instead I begin my search a few weeks in advance.
Local stores, both those which deal in second-hand and new publications, are the first places I look, but when I can’t find the books I seek, I go online.
