Title: Facelift for Canadian Virtual War Memorial Website

Snippet: We are the dead. Short days ago we lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, loved and were loved, and now we lie in Flanders Fields. ~ John McCrae

The Canadian Virtual War Memorial website (CVWM) has gone through many changes since I first visited more than a dozen years ago. At that time, if memory serves me correctly, the information provided for military personnel who died in the line of service, was limited to the basic data. It provided family members and researchers the ability to freely discover details they may not have been able to gather elsewhere.

These days, the site is almost unrecognizable compared to what it was when I first encountered it. The basic information is still available for each veteran, but there’s a whole lot more.

. . . To read more, pick up one of the above noted newspapers.
