Column: Family Search Collections

Between today and Saturday, my genealogy column, Roots to the Past, is available in the following Atlantic Canada newspapers:

Tuesday: The Kings County Record (Sussex)

Wednesday: The Lunenburg County Progress Bulletin

Thursday: The Western Star (Corner Brook)

Saturday: The Citizen (Amherst)

Saturday: Times & Transcript (Moncton)

Title: Family Search Collections

Snippet: Discovering your family tree on the Internet is made easier with Family Search (https://www.familysearch.org). The massive website contains various types of records and helpful steps to begin your research. If you’ve never been on Family Search before, be prepared to find hundreds of useful resources related to Canada, United States and several other countries around the world.

Upon arriving at the home page, you immediately see two search boxes: one for first names, the other for last names. You can opt to search the entire site for a particular person/surname and life event (birth, marriage, death), or you can browse records of a specific country by choosing a location from the list.

. . . To read more, pick up one of the above noted newspapers.
